File photoMOSCOW, May 21.One person died, more than 40 were injured due to a tornado that hit the US state of Michigan, the Detroit News newspaper reports, citing local authorities. It is reported that a tornado passed through the city Gaylord, located in Otsigo County. One person became a victim of the disaster, 44 more were hospitalized. The publication notes that several houses and businesses were damaged as a result of the tornado. Trees and power lines have also fallen on roads. According to local utility Consumers Energy, more than 14,000 people in northern Michigan were left without power due to extreme weather.
