Israel Police. File photo TEL AVIV, May 22. An Israeli court sentenced six Palestinian prisoners who had previously escaped from Gilboa prison to five years each, Haaretz reports. According to the publication, they were sentenced to five years in prison, as well as a fine of five thousand shekels (about 1.5 thousand dollars). Their escape was called «unprecedented.» In addition, accomplices of the escapees were sentenced to four years of de facto imprisonment and three to six months of probation. Six Palestinian prisoners escaped from this prison in northern Israel in early September. They were later arrested.
