MOSCOW, May 23. Polish striker of Bayern Munich Robert Lewandowski became the best scorer of the European football championships of the 2021/22 season and will be awarded the Golden Boot prize. During the season, Lewandowski scored 35 goals in the German Bundesliga. The second in the ranking was the striker of the Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team Kylian Mbappe (28 goals), the third place was shared by the Italian forward of the Roman Lazio Ciro Immobile and the French striker of Real Madrid Karim Benzema (27 goals each). Lewandowski will receive Golden Boot for the second time in a row. The leader in the number of awards is the Argentine Lionel Messi (6 times), the second is the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo (4).
