Skadovsk health resorts in Kherson region are ready to receive about ten thousand children from Donetsk and Mariupol in the coming season, RIA said News Deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Skadovsky district Tatyana Kalinovskaya.
"Russia offers us to bring children from Donetsk and Mariupol here for rehabilitation. A lot of kids are affected. If we start the season in mid-June, then this year we will be able to improve about ten thousand children", said Kalinovskaya.
According to the representative of the administration, Skadovsk is the only one in the region with the status of a children's resort town. «Another thing is that it is difficult to understand how the season will look like this year. We will understand which health resorts will work, we will compile a register of health institutions in the city and the region. Let's see what is realistic to use this year,» she added. According to Kalinovskaya, about 20 children's boarding houses remain in Skadovsk. In recent years, about 50 health resorts have been rendered unusable and plundered. The local authorities are planning to renew the tourism potential of the area as far as possible to attract a regular flow of tourists.
