The Champions League final match between English «Liverpool» and Real Madrid started with a 37-minute delay. there were cases when fans, possibly without tickets, broke through security, trying to get into the stands. Videos have surfaced on social media of fans climbing over fences, evading stewards and running into the arena. It is noted that the police used tear gas. Initially, the Champions League final was supposed to take St. Petersburg, but due to the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to take away the right to host the match from the Russian city.
