Archival photoMOSCOW, May 30.The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered a bill banning the public performance of Russian music and videos, as well as the tour of Russian performers in the country.»The draft law proposes: ban public performance, public display, public demonstration , public communication of phonograms, videograms and music videos that contain a performance of a musical non-dramatic work with text, performed by a singer (singer) who is or was in any period after 1991 a citizen of a state recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as an aggressor state. 
The Rada called for the deprivation of the title «People's Artist of Ukraine» of Baskov and Kirkorov. An exception is proposed to be made for former Russian citizens who are Ukrainian citizens, as well as those Russian performers who condemned the special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. «Prohibit the holding of touring events, the participants of which are musical performers (singers) who are citizens of the aggressor state, except for those included in the list,» the document says. Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24.
