MOSCOW, June 6 Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod signed a trial contract with Igor Larionov — the youngest, the son of the team's new head coach Igor Larionov, according to the KHL official website. The club also signed a viewing contract with forward Alexei Sergeyev and entered into a full bilateral agreement with Japanese forward Yu Sato, who played at the youth level for the Moscow Wings of the Soviets. Larionov- the younger has five matches in the KHL championship of the 2020/21 season in the Chinese Kunlun Red Star, in which he scored two assists. Last season he played in the Swedish championship. Sergeev played two matches for Vityaz near Moscow in the 2020/21 season. Larionov Sr., a two-time Olympic champion in the USSR national team and a three-time Stanley Cup winner, headed Torpedo in early May, replacing David Nemirovsky. Previously, Larionov worked as the head coach of the youth and Olympic teams of Russia.
