MOSCOW, June 8 Environmental Working Group (EWG) named the most toxic fruit and vegetables available worldwide. The EWG conducted a study and identified 13 fruits and vegetables containing the highest amount of pesticides and other chemicals. Experts called strawberries the most harmful, in which 20 different chemical additives were found. Spinach, nectarines, apples, peaches, pears, cherries, grapes, celery, tomatoes, sweet peppers and potatoes were also included in the list of toxic fruits and vegetables. Representatives of the EWG also named 14 the least contaminated fruits and vegetables. This list includes corn, avocado, pineapple, cabbage, onion, peas, papaya, asparagus, mango, eggplant, melon, kiwi, cauliflower and grapefruit. The EWG noted that even in the first list, the content of harmful substances did not exceed sanitary standards, therefore, you can not refuse radically from strawberries and apples.
