File photoLOS ANGELES, June 10 Dozens of people rallied outside the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles to protest Washington's decision not to invite Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua to the event, a correspondent reports RIA Novosti. «This is not a real summit of the Americas if a significant part of the continent and the people of Latin America are excluded from it,» director of the coalition of protesters Brian Becker told RIA Novosti. He also noted that the demonstrators demand that the US authorities end the blockade of Cuba, as well as American campaign to destabilize the Latin American region. The Summit of the Americas is a meeting of the heads of state and government of North and South America, which takes place every few years. This year the forum is being held in Los Angeles. Delegations from Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela were not invited to the event. In this regard, the leaders of a number of Latin American states, including Mexico, decided to refuse to participate in the summit.
