Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov meeting in MoscowMOSCOW, June 10 > Russia and Turkmenistan proclaim the establishment of relations of in-depth partnership, the declaration signed by the presidents of the two countries says. «The parties hereby proclaim the establishment of relations between them of in-depth strategic partnership, which provides for bringing diverse and multifaceted ties to a higher level and giving them a particularly close and dynamic character for deep cooperation in a bilateral format and in the international arena,» the document says. The declaration provides that the countries will hold regular consultations through the Foreign Ministry to exchange views on international problems. «The parties will hold regular consultations through the foreign ministries to exchange views and agree positions on the issue bilateral relations, topical international and regional problems of mutual interest,» the document says. The declaration also notes that Russia and Turkmenistan will continue active cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Caspian Five, as well as the United Nations on Security and Cooperation in Europe, the CA5+Russia Dialogue Mechanism and other multilateral structures and formats, including providing mutual support when considering various issues and initiatives affecting mutual interests.Putin noted the respect for the Russian language in Turkmenistan
