MOSCOW, Jun 21 The International Football Federation (FIFA) has extended the suspension contracts with Russian clubs for foreign players until June 2023, according to the website of the organization.
According to the decision of FIFA, if the clubs that are members of the Russian Football Union (RFU) or the Ukrainian Football Association do not reach an agreement with their foreign players and coaches until June 30, 2022, and unless otherwise agreed in writing, these players and coaches will have the right to suspend contracts with their clubs until June 30, 2023.
Previously, the International Football Federation (FIFA) allowed foreign players, playing in the Russian Championship, to suspend contracts with clubs unilaterally until the summer of 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine.
