Patrolling a beach in the Kherson region. Archival photoSIMFEROPOL, June 21 Any attempt by the Ukrainian army to break into the Kherson region is akin to suicide, deputy head of the regional military-civilian administration Kirill Stremousov told RIA Novosti.
"Kherson region — is a steppe zone. Any actions initiated by the Ukrainian side are doomed and akin to suicide. An example of this are several failed operations. The Ukrainian army no longer has a strike force. Nobody wants to die for the Zelensky regime. The morale of the Ukrainian army has been undermined", said Stremousov.
According to him, the situation in the Kherson region is now calm. Many residents have figured out the current situation and are no longer influenced by Ukrainian propaganda. During the special operation, the Russian military took control of the Kherson region and the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region in southern Ukraine. Civil-military administrations were formed in the regions, the ruble was put into circulation, and Russian TV channels and radio stations began broadcasting. The regions have announced plans to become subjects of the Russian Federation.A referendum in the Kherson region is planned for autumn, the authorities said
