For the decoration of the new DPR square near the US embassy, the Moscow authorities used the font of the campaign in support of Ukraine, developed by Kyiv-based designers Oles Gergun and Yevgeny Anfalov. Gergun himself drew attention to this.
“Russian fascists used our KTF Jermilov for their stupid propaganda without the moral and legal rights to do so,” he wrote.
The City Hall arranged vote to rename the square at the end of May. There were three options to choose from: Defenders of Donbass Square, Hero of Russia Vladimir Zhoga Square and Donetsk People's Republic Square.
State employees said that they were obliged to vote for the third option. It provides for the renaming of some other territory into the area of the LPR.
