MOSCOW, June 14 Spartak Moscow announced that they will play in the match for the Russian Football Super Cup against St. Petersburg «Zenith».
The match for the Super Cup will take place on July 9 in St. Petersburg. This decision was made at a meeting of the Bureau of the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) on June 10. After that, information appeared in the media that the Red-Whites could boycott the Super Cup, since the capital club was initially against holding the game in St. Petersburg.
Zenit is the current champion of Russia, Spartak in the past season for the first time since 2003 won the Cup of the country.
