The Meshchansky Court of Moscow appointed Stanislav Frolov, head of the Another Brass Band, seven days of arrest, whose wrist was broken by police during arrest. Frolov himself and Oleg Mokryakov, coordinator of the community of street musicians in the fight against lawlessness on the part of the authorities, told about this Mediazone. Frolov was found guilty of disobedience to the police (Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
Mokryakov said that yesterday, June 23, the orchestra played as part of the state cultural project «Street Artist» on Kuznetsky Most. Repair work was taking place nearby, and the musicians decided to move 20 meters away from the agreed point.
According to the coordinator, the police immediately arrived and “announced that they were detaining the entire orchestra and confiscating instruments for article about trade of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Moscow 11.13«. The head of the orchestra, Frolov, began to argue with the security forces, after which he was seized, handcuffed and taken to a police car, follows from the video of the detention. A tuba player was also detained, he was soon released, seizing the instrument.
Frolov was pointed out to the police by an employee of the council of the Meshchansky district. He told the security forces that the young man «plays musical instruments in an undesignated place and takes payment for performances,» protocol.
