I think we will not have time to consider it, Leonid Ivanovich (Kalashnikov) is right,» the parliamentarian said. According to the politician, the amendments are complex — «all by-laws that were in force are reduced to a common denominator.» Earlier, Kalashnikov told RIA Novosti that the preparation of amendments to the presidential bill on citizenship is being carried out taking into account the situation with refugees from Ukraine, the draft can be adopted immediately in the second and the third reading, however, the date of the next consideration of the document by the State Duma remains uncertain due to the need to work out the draft. In April, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on citizenship of the Russian Federation, submitted to the chamber by President Vladimir Putin. The document provides for a reduction in the number of requirements for more than 20 categories of persons when they are admitted to Russian citizenship, as well as expanding the powers of the head of state to determine the category of persons who are entitled to a simplified acquisition of Russian citizenship.
