Caesar French self-propelled artillery mount. Archival photoMOSCOW, 25 Jun. French Gaullist politician Florian Filippo announced the «humiliation» of the country's President Emmanuel Macron after the news of the loss of Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts by the Ukrainian troops, provided by Paris.
"Russia seized two Caesar guns sent to Ukraine! Loss of ten million and free technology transfer! Macron is guilty of this humiliating and costly beating. Let him go!" — he wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, Uralvagonzavod in his Telegram channel asked the French politician Régis Castelnau to convey words of gratitude to the President of the Fifth Republic for the self-propelled guns captured in Ukraine, as they «will come in handy in the economy.» The military enterprise promised to dismantle the gun mounts invented by the Nexter concern. On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» As specified in the Ministry of Defense, the Russian army has already completed the main tasks of the first stage — it has significantly reduced the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly turned to the West with a request to arrange the supply of weapons. The United States, the European Union and Great Britain sent tens of billions of dollars worth of ammunition and military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a few months. Moscow, in turn, warned that ammunition depots would become legitimate targets for the Aerospace Forces in the neighboring country.
