Caesar French self-propelled artillery mount. Archival photoMOSCOW, 24 Jun. French politician Jean-Michel Cadenas became angry after the news that the Ukrainian troops lost part of the Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts provided by Paris.
"Russia took, among other things, two of the six Caesar self-propelled guns that France supplied! They were in perfect working order. The Ukrainians fled so fast that they didn't have time to destroy them or mine them!" — he wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, Uralvagonzavod, in its official Telegram channel, asked the French politician Régis Castelnau to convey words of gratitude to President Emmanuel Macron for the artillery mounts captured in Ukraine, as they «will come in handy in the economy.» The military-industrial enterprise promised to dismantle the self-propelled guns designed by the Nexter concern. Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. As Vladimir Putin emphasized, its goal is «to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian army has already completed the main tasks of the first stage — it significantly reduced the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
