The Basmanny District Court arrested Nikolai Kavkazsky, a member of the Yabloko party, for 10 days in the case of demonstrating extremist symbols (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). He himself reports this.
“Last year's post about including me in the fake list of UG (Smart Voting — MZ) was a formal reason. I am for the right of UG to give recommendations, but I condemn the principle of UG. They are being taken to a special detention center in Simferopolsky,” Kavkazsky wrote.
Election legislation prohibits those found guilty of demonstrating extremist symbols from being elected within a year. The politician was going to participate in the elections of deputies of the Basmanny district of Moscow in September.
Kavkazsky was detained this afternoon, June 24.
