Earlier, the former first racket of the world, American tennis player Martina Navratilova, called the participation of transgender people in women's sports unfair and accused the IOC of lack of initiative on this issue «This is a very complex topic, a complex situation. We have to find a balance. We believe that each specific sport, each discipline knows better if there is a significant advantage for a transgender person. Therefore, we have left the international federations to decide for themselves. There cannot be a single rule, which suits everyone.
