Brothers Sedinov will be included in the Hockey Hall of Fame

MOSCOW, June 27 Swedes Henrik and Daniel Sedina will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of fame, according to the official website of the organization. Also, the Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Toronto in November will include Canadian Roberto Luongo, Swede Daniel Alfredsson, Finnish hockey player Riikka Sallinen and Canadian Herb Carnegie (as a functionary). The Sedin brothers spent their entire careers in Vancouver, Henrik — Franchise leader in assists, points and games played, winner of the Hart Trophy (season MVP) and Art Ross Trophy (top scorer). Luongo has the fourth most wins by a goaltender in NHL history and the second most appearances. As part of the Canadian national team, he twice became the Olympic champion, won the World Championship twice, once — the World Cup. Forward Alfredsson spent most of his career in Ottawa, is the leader in the club's history in points, goals and assists. Winner of the Calder Trophy award (best rookie of the season), Olympic champion in the Swedish national team. Sergey Zubov was the last Russian to be included in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2019.
