MOSCOW, July 1 The Fight of the Century against Joe Frazier is up for auction with a starting price of $969,000, according to the Daily Mail. In addition to the crimson red robe with white trim and the boxer's name on the back, the velvet prayer cap the boxer wore to mosque before the third fight against Frazier. Its price is expected to be close to that of the mantle. Both items are part of the collection of American businessman Troy Kinunen. The auction is to take place in Dallas (Texas, USA) on July 21. The «Fight of the Century» was held on March 8, 1971 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Ali and Frazier came into the fight as undefeated boxers. Frazier won by unanimous decision after 15 rounds. The show caused a great stir, it was watched by about 300 million people. On January 28, 1974, Ali took revenge on Frazier, also winning on points. The third and last fight between the boxers took place on October 1, 1975 and went down in history under the name «Thriller in Manila», Ali won it by technical knockout in the 14th round.
