MOSCOW, 12 Jul. The acting president of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Alexander Alaev will become the only candidate in the election of the head of the organization, according to the official Telegram channel of the RPL.
Alaev became acting president after the departure of Ashot Khachaturyants on June 27. The election of the President of the RPL will be held on August 16. Earlier, Alaev left the posts of head of the Football National League (FNL) and Secretary General of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
Alaev's candidacy was registered by the RPL Election Commission and sent to the RFU Electoral Committee.
