
MOSCOW, July 11 Italian basketball player Alessandro Gentile suffered a fracture of several vertebrae, falling from a height of four meters, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The incident occurred in a villa on the island of Formentera (Spain), which the player rented during his vacation. Gentile was on a wooden structure that collapsed, and he fell from a height of four meters, breaking several vertebrae. The basketball player was immediately taken by helicopter to a hospital in Palma de Mallorca, where he is still located. It is noted that, most likely, the 29-year-old basketball player will need an operation, for which he will be transported to a hospital in Naples. The player himself said that he was fine.
