The Magistrate of the Tagansky District fined Google 60,000 rubles under the article on the operator's failure to comply with the requirements in the field of personal data (part 5 of article 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the court.
As the court clarified, the reason for the administrative case was the failure to delete a video posted on the YouTube channel of politician Alexei Navalny, which contains the personal data of lawyer Ilya Remeslo. He turned to Roskomnadzor with a request to block the video.
Earlier, following a complaint from Craft against Navalny, a libel case was opened (Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code) against veteran Ignat Artemenko, who participated in an RT campaign video for amendments to the Constitution. The oppositionist’s associates claimed that the lawyer, whose father-in-law was recognized as a victim in Navalny’s other fraud case, receives “about 10 million a year” from Konstantin Kostin.
