Talantov was detained and transferred to Moscow on June 28, the next day he was arrested in the case of spreading «fake news» motivated by political or ideological hatred (paragraph «e» of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). The reason for the case was the lawyer’s Facebook post in April about the actions of the Russian army “in Kharkov, Mariupol, Irpin, Bucha.”
