
MOSCOW, July 12 Defender Nikita Nesterov extended his agreement with CSKA, according to website of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club. The contract with the 29-year-old Russian is for four years. Last season, he played a total of 63 matches for the club, scored 44 points (8 goals and 36 assists) and helped the team win the Gagarin Cup. Nesterov has been representing the army team since 2021, before that he played for the club from 2017 to 2020 and for the second time won the Gagarin Cup (2019, 2022). In the KHL, he also played for Traktor Chelyabinsk, in the National Hockey League he represented Tampa, Montreal and Calgary, having spent a total of 170 league games and scoring 37 points (9 + 28). As part of the Russian national team, Nesterov became the Olympic champion in 2018, the silver medalist of the 2022 Games and the bronze medalist of the 2019 World Championship.
