File photoMOSCOW, July 15The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with other Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, issued a statement on Friday in which they released a list of one hundred «pro-Russian» Telegram channels that were banned. «The enemy is trying sow treason and undermine Ukrainian society. In particular, a number of allegedly independent Telegram channels work for this, the work of which is really coordinated by the Kremlin. The Security Service of Ukraine has previously established the involvement of such channels in the Russian special services in the framework of the relevant criminal proceedings,» the joint statement says.
Durov denied transferring data of Telegram users to Google «, «Gossip girl», «Cartel», «Resident», «Observer», «MediaPost», «Woman with a scythe» and others, the list of which will be supplemented. Now there are about a hundred channels on the list. The SBU, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy (MCIP), the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Center for Strategic Communications made a joint statement and information security under the ICIP. In their statement, the departments warn the owners and editors of Ukrainian publications that «support for such resources is aiding the enemy» and will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
