MOSCOW, July 15, Alexander Sergeev. The Russian Football Union (RFU) stated that it categorically disagrees with the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to uphold the suspension of Russian teams and clubs from international competitions. CAS rejected the appeals of the RFU, Moscow clubs CSKA and Dynamo, St. «Sochi» on the ban on participation in international competitions, imposed by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the International Football Federation (FIFA). CAS full text of the decision, after analysis of which a decision will be made on further actions.Possible options include, including appeal to the Supreme Court of Switzerland, as well as filing claims with CAS related to compensation for financial losses incurred by the RFU due to the actions of UEFA and FIFA», — the press service of the RFU told reporters. In early May, the UEFA Executive Committee suspended all Russian club and national teams from participating in international tournaments under the auspices of the organization for the 2022/23 season due to the events in Ukraine. Because of this verdict, clubs will not be allowed to compete in European competitions, and the Russian team will be excluded from the list of participants in the new season of the League of Nations and, as a result, will lose their place in Division B.
