The police detained the ex-editor of Channel One Marina Ovsyannikova. This is reported by the team of the journalist, leading her telegram channel, and “Caution. News”.
As noted by “Caution. News”, the security forces came to Ovsyannikova at the place of residence, in the Moscow region. Where the editor is being taken is unknown. Lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov suggested that her phone was taken away, as she does not get in touch.
OVD-Info writes that Ovsyannikova was taken to the police department in the Krasnoselsky district, and Zakhvatov is coming to see her. The lawyer clarified that a protocol was drawn up against the journalist under the article on “discrediting” the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of her speech at the Basmanny District Court of Moscow before choosing a measure of restraint for Ilya Yashin in the case of “fakes” about the army.< /p>
On July 15, the journalist went to a solo picket on the embankment opposite the Kremlin with a poster “Putin is a murderer, his soldiers are fascists. 32 children died. How many more children have to die for you to stop?”.
«They are lying to you here.» The Ostankino court fined Marina Ovsyannikova, who ran out on air with an anti-war poster
Ovsyannikova held her first anti-war action on March 14. During the live broadcast of the news release on Channel One, she appeared behind the back of the presenter Ekaterina Andreeva with a poster “Stop the war! Don't believe the propaganda, they lie to you here.» She was immediately detained and taken to the duty unit of the All-Russian Exhibition Center.
After that, familiar editors published her video message about the war in Ukraine. Because of him, the Ostankino court fined Ovsyannikova 30 thousand rubles under the article on organizing an action without filing a notification (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). At the end of March, a protocol was drawn up against the journalist about the “discrediting” of the Russian army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
Ovsyannikova quit Channel One, left the country and began working with Die Welt. However, in July, the editor said that her contract with the German publication had ended and she returned to Russia. Zakhvatov added in a conversation with We Can Explain that the journalist came to the court with her husband related to child custody.
