The day before, the Senate again considered the issue of confidence in the Council of Ministers. The majority voted in favor of the government: 95 of the 133 senators who took part in the vote. In total, 192 parliamentarians out of more than 300 were in the meeting room. But the three leading forces of the ruling coalition — the 5 Star Movement, as well as the center-right Forward, Italy and the League — did not vote.
