MOSCOW, Jul 24 Fight between a Swedish fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev and an American Welterweight Nate Diaz will be the main event of the 279th Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament, according to the promotion's Twitter page. The tournament will take place on September 10 in Las Vegas. Earlier it was reported that this fight will be the last for Diaz under a contract with the UFC. Chimaev is 27 years old, he has 11 victories in mixed martial arts and not a single defeat. He won all victories, except for the last one, ahead of schedule no later than the second round. Diaz is 37 years old, he won 20 victories with 13 defeats. In March 2015, he inflicted the first defeat in the UFC to the Irishman Conor McGregor, who later became the organization's first ever two-weight champion. Diaz last fought in June last year, losing to Briton Leon Edwards.
