MOSCOW, Jul 29 Japan September 12-18, canceled due to financial difficulties, according to the Japan Tennis Association (JTA) website. However, it was decided that the tournament was not possible. The Women's Japan Open was to be held at the Osaka Tennis Center. It has not been held since 2019 — in 2020 and 2021 the tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
