Due to the fact that the armed formations of Ukraine used PFM-1C anti-personnel mines of the «Petal» type in residential areas, we kindly request you to reduce the time spent on the street unnecessarily,” writes the department in its Telegram channel. The anti-personnel high-explosive mine (PFM-1) “Petal” is designed to damage the legs and works when a person steps on it. It is installed on the ground by remote means of mining. A special insidiousness of a mine for civilians is that, due to its unusual shape, people who are not familiar with this mine may not recognize it as a dangerous object. The mine is almost an exact copy of the American mine BLU-43/B «Dragontooth».
