In the Dzhankoy region of Crimea, security forces came with searches to six Crimean Tatar activists and journalists. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity movement.

As the public organization specified, searches are being carried out at the home of Crimean Solidarity journalist Vilen Temeryanov and his mother’s house, as well as at activists Enver Krosh , Seityai Abbozov, Murat Mustafayev, Edem Bekirov and Rinat Aliyev. After the searches, Mustafaev, Bekirov, Krosh and Abbozov were taken away «in an unknown direction,» the Crimean Solidarity added.
The Russian authorities associate the Crimean Tatars with the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which the Supreme Court recognized as terrorist and banned. The organization legally operated on the territory of Ukraine, but after the annexation of Crimea, Russian security forces began to persecute alleged supporters of the party.
