Aleksey Navalny filed a lawsuit against Yury Korobov, head of strict regime penal colony No. 6 in the Vladimir region, because of the warning that the politician received from the administration after the creation of the Promzona trade union. This is stated on the website of the Kovrov City Court.
On August 11, Navalny announced on his social networks that he had founded a trade union for prisoners working at enterprises of the penitentiary system and employees of colonies. “I am a colony worker. Seamstress. And other prisoners are also workers. And the guards are also employees of the colony. In terms of labor rights, we are no different. We can create a trade union to protect our rights,” the politician wrote.
According to information on the website of the court, a warning “about the inadmissibility of actions that create conditions for the commission of an administrative offense” was announced to Navalny on August 4.
“My first reward was the wild eyes of the administration staff. They thought I was joking when I talked about the union. And now they call it exclusively «illegal». Then they began to call me daily to the disciplinary commission and give me reprimands <…>. Then a whole delegation came to my barracks and solemnly handed me a “warning about an impending crime,” the politician said.

Navalny also filed a lawsuit against the colony because of the refusal to provide his lawyer with information about the customer of the products he produces in IK-6.
In March, nine politicians were appointed years of high security in fundraising fraud and contempt of court. In June, he was transferred to IK-6. Prior to that, he was in Pokrovskaya IK-2, since in February 2021 the court replaced his suspended sentence in the Yves Rocher case with a real one. While serving his sentence, Navalny several times filed suits with pre-trial detention centers and colonies, but the courts rejected them.
