St. PETERSBURG, Aug 12 a criminal case in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy in hockey training, according to the city GSUSK RF. On Thursday, the SKA hockey club reported that the young hockey player died as a result of an accident in training. During one of the exercises, the puck hit the player in the chest in the region of the heart. The team doctor assisted the hockey player and called an ambulance. He was taken to the hospital, but it was not possible to save the boy. «The Investigation Department for the Petrogradsky District of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of article 109 of the Criminal Code (infliction of death by negligence) in the death of a 14-year-old boy during a hockey training session, which took place in one of the hockey complexes located on the territory of the Petrogradsky district of the city,» the report says. Currently, the investigative team is investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
