The Ministry of Defense called explosions at an ammunition depot in Crimea a diversion

An ammunition depot near Dzhankoy in the north of Crimea exploded due to a “sabotage,” representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry told RIA Novosti news agency.

The explosions took place in the morning at a temporary military warehouse with ammunition on a former farm near the village Maiskoye and the settlement of Azovskoye. They continued for several hours. Two people were injured, more than two thousand local residents were evacuated.

Due to the explosions, the railway near Dzhankoy was damaged. The movement of passenger trains from the mainland to the Crimea was stopped: they will stop at the Vladislavovka station, located near Fedosiya.

On August 9, an explosion occurred at the Novofedorovka military airfield near Sakami. According to the official version, one person died.
