MOSCOW, Aug 20 Team Canada became the first finalist of the Youth Ice Hockey World Championship (under 20), which takes place in Edmonton, Canada. In the semifinal match, the hosts of the tournament defeated the Czechs with a score of 5:2 (2:0, 2:0, 1:2). The winners had goals scored by Kent Johnson (11th minute), Connor Bedard (16), Logan Stankoven (32), Mason McTavish (37) and Joshua Roy (55). As part of the Czech team, Jan Myshak (51) and David Irzhichek (53) distinguished themselves. Later, the national teams of Sweden and Finland will meet in another semi-final.
