Archival photoMOSCOW, Aug 23 Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that a tribunal over the Ukrainian military would be held soon, and Kyiv, in particular Vladimir Zelensky, had something to fear.According to him, the military should appear before the tribunal criminals «who killed, raped, destroyed and kept in fear the civilian population of Donbass.» Volodin emphasized the importance of the court session being public. He also said that everyone is waiting for the tribunal, except for Zelensky, who considers this unacceptable and calls it the «last line» in the matter of negotiations with Russia. Russia, Belarus and Syria will send observers to the tribunal in the DPR «He and the Kyiv regime have something to fear. It was he and his entourage who gave orders to bomb, shoot and kill civilians: the elderly, women, children. Therefore, Zelensky is doing everything so that there is no tribunal threatening to refuse a peaceful settlement,» Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel. He also noted the importance of the trial taking place, since, in his opinion, the world community should know about the «crimes of the Kyiv regime against humanity.» Previously, Zelensky said that if an international tribunal over the Ukrainian military was held in the DPR, negotiations between Ukraine and Russia would be impossible. The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that they would not delay the international tribunal for war criminals in the republic. He also noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic is working on attracting representatives of the international community to participate in the tribunal.
