This is how he commented on the statement by Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Coalition Party Jukka Kopra on the consequences of a decrease in tourist flow to South Karelia from Russia. «Loss of 300 million euros in year for the happiness of seeing the slogan «Glory to Ukraine» on the streets of Finnish cities? It would be funny if it were not so ridiculous,» Pushkov said. As Kopra told AlfaTV Uutiset, Russians have become less likely to come to South Karelia due to EU sanctions. According to her calculations, Helsinki's losses amount to approximately 300 million euros per year, most of this amount was brought by tourists from a neighboring country. According to Bloomberg, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland intend to introduce restrictions at the national level for Russian tourists entering the EU territory by land transport. Representatives of these countries may meet to discuss restrictive measures as early as next week.
