Two-time Olympic boxing champion Lagutin dies


MOSCOW, Sep 5 Two-time Olympic boxing champion Boris Lagutin passed away at the age of 84, according to the official website of the Russian Boxing Federation. Lagutin died on the evening of September 4. «The Russian Boxing Federation expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends and admirers of Boris Nikolayevich's talent,» the message says. The President also expressed his condolences in his Telegram channel International Boxing Federation (IBA) Umar Kremlev.» A truly world-class man, Boris Nikolayevich Lagutin, has passed away. Boris Nikolayevich was an outstanding person who always strived for the development of boxing and helped the younger generation to master this craft. He is also a bronze medalist at the 1960 Olympic Games, a two-time European champion, and a six-time USSR champion.
