The documentary filmmaker Vitaly Mansky has been put on the federal wanted list. «Mediazona» found him in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier it became known that the police opened a criminal case on spreading slander in Mansky's May interview with journalist Ksenia Sobchak. The director spoke there about stealing «at least 85% of the budget» when organizing the Moscow International Film Festival (Part 2 of Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code).
The complaint against Mansky was written by festival president Nikita Mikhalkov and several other people. According to the lawyer representing him, Pavel Astakhov, Mansky has not yet been charged. Sobchak was summoned for interrogation at the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a witness. -slate-custom=»{«src»:»https://s3.zona.media/i/9f7d853e83bb1378b68337b46829b93a»,»alt»:»",»imgSrc»:»https://s3.zona.media/i/9f7d853e83bb1378b68337b46829b93a","migrationId":"1646998844495","html":null}» alt=»1″ />

Mansky, who opposed the war in Ukraine, left Russia in 2014, while he came to the events of his Artdocfest documentary film festival.
In March 2022, Mansky was splashed with red paint at the opening of the festival in Moscow, and the organizers refused to take part in events in Russia.
