MOSCOW, September 15, Sergey Fuks. Hearing at the Disciplinary Anti-Doping Committee of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency agencies (RUSADA) in the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva will be held in late September — early October, said RUSADA Director General Veronika Loginova.
It was previously reported that RUSADA's investigation into Valieva's case has been completed and RUSADA's results processing department is preparing documents for hearings in the Disciplinary Anti-Doping Committee in accordance with the established rules and procedures.
Trimetazidine was found in Valieva's doping test, which she passed in December 2021 at the Russian Championships. In February, Valieva won the Olympic gold medal of the Beijing Games in the team tournament, but the day after the victory, it became known about the positive doping test of the Russian woman. RUSADA first temporarily suspended Valieva from the competition, but after a while lifted the sanctions. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) allowed her to the individual Olympic tournament. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has refused to hold an awards ceremony in the team tournament until the investigation into Valieva's case is completed.
