File photoWASHINGTON, Sep 15 US Senators Richard Blumenthal of the Democratic Party and Lindsey Graham of the Republican have introduced a new bill in Congress to include Russia on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, bypassing the position of the State Department, Politico reported. «Senators Richard Blumenthal and Lindsey Graham have introduced new legislation that would allow them to bypass the State Department and make an announcement (on the list of state sponsors of terrorism) unilaterally,» the publication says. According to the publication, the authors of the bill do not yet have wide support for his initiative in Congress. Blumenthal himself said that he did not agree with the position of the White House, which is against recognizing Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. «We are aware that the administration (of the US President) takes a different position on this matter. With respect to it, I am against it,» he told reporters. to make such a decision, and a corresponding bill was submitted to the House of Representatives.
