Another group, led by public figure Karin Tonoyan, dispersed after plans for a protest action on Friday were announced. According to the agency, his son Levon Kocharyan, the ex-president's son, later joined the crowd. He said that on Friday morning he would announce where and in what format Robert Kocharyan's meeting with citizens would take place. On Wednesday, a protest rally was held, the participants of which demanded that the deputies start the process of impeachment of the prime minister. To remove Pashinyan from power, in addition to 35 opposition mandates, another 18 votes of the ruling Civil Contract faction are needed. Protesters on Wednesday blocked the central Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan near the parliament building. The rally was also held near the government building. The protesters claimed that the head of government was going to make concessions to Azerbaijan. Earlier in the day, Pashinyan said during a government hour in parliament that he was ready to make difficult decisions and sign relevant documents for the sake of long-term peace in Armenia. Later, he assured that no document had been signed and was not being prepared for signing, and called on his compatriots not to succumb to manipulation amid protests demanding his resignation.
