MOSCOW, Sep 16 Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin turned out to be heavier than the world champion according to the World boxing association (WBA), the World Boxing Organization (WBO), the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF) in the second middleweight of the Mexican Saul Alvarez before the head-to-head fight. Golovkin's weight was 76.1 kg, Alvarez — 75.9 kg. The third full-time duel between the rivals will be held on September 17 in Las Vegas. All four of Alvarez's super middleweight titles will be on the line. Golovkin, for whom this fight will be his debut in the division, will retain the WBA and IBF middleweight titles. The first fight between Alvarez and Golovkin took place in September 2017 in the United States and ended in a draw. In September 2018, Golovkin lost a decision to the Mexican and lost his WBA Super and WBC titles. This defeat was the first in the professional career of a boxer from Kazakhstan. 40-year-old Golovkin has won 42 victories (37 by knockout) in his professional career, suffered one defeat and ended one fight in a draw.
