MOSCOW, Sep 17 Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Australian Alexander Volkanovski announced his readiness to replace any of the athletes in the duel between Russian Islam Makhachev and Brazilian Charles Oliveira. Makhachev's fight against Oliveira will take place on October 22, he will head the 280th numbered UFC tournament in Abu Dhabi. Earlier, former league champion, sparring partner and friend of Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, admitted that Oliveira would withdraw from the title fight, and Beneil Dariush would replace him. «I will appear to fight any of them. I will be next,» Volkanovski wrote on Twitter. Makhachev is 30 years old, he has 22 wins and one loss in mixed martial arts. Oliveira is 32 years old and has 33 wins and eight losses. At the moment, Makhachev and Oliveira's unbeaten streaks are 10 and 11 fights, respectively. The 33-year-old Volkanovski has 25 wins and one loss.
