MOSCOW, Sep 17 Russian dance couple Diana Davis/Gleb Smolkin will take part in the American Ardmore Challenge Cup, according to The Skating Lesson's Twitter account. The Skating Lesson previously reported that Davis and Smolkin would be reviewed by the US Figure Skating Association (USFS). The skaters later stated in their address that they remain members of the Russian team and look forward to the test skates of the national team, which will take place in September in Moscow. «Davis and Smolkin are expected to take part in the Challenge Cup in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, this week. They should compete there as they are not eligible for the U.S. Championships. The Challenge Cup is the last tournament in the U.S. National Ice Dance Qualifying Series,» Davis was born in the U.S. and is the daughter of Russian figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze. In a duet with Smolkin at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, she took 14th place. In December last year, Davis and Smolkin won the silver of the Russian championship.
