«I received another note about the withdrawal of recognition of Kosovo's independence. <…> I want to tell the citizens of Serbia that this is another folder in our state safe, another note, so we strengthen our position at least in this organization, strengthen it and we will continue to work on it,” he stressed.
Vučić noted that Belgrade will «fight and keep silent» until Pristina tries to join new international structures. According to him, if this does happen, Kosovo will «be surprised» by the number of dissenting countries, in particular UN members. Earlier, the Serbian authorities reported that they had recently received eight official reviews of the recognition of the self-proclaimed Kosovo, but did not disclose which states .The situation in the region has escalated due to the plans of Pristina from August 1 to ban cars with Serbian numbers and documents from entering the region. In the north of Kosovo, where many Serbs live, riots broke out, in response, the authorities of the self-proclaimed republic pulled the police there. At the request of the US, Pristina delayed the entry into force of the ban by a month. In Belgrade, this step was welcomed, saying that the leadership of Serbia and the authorities of Kosovo were one step away from a serious conflict, but official Belgrade managed to keep the peace.
